A password manager, digital vault, form filler and secure digital wallet. I honestly cannot recommend this enough.

1Password

Capture your Mac’s screen like a pro. So much smoother than using QuickTime like an amateur.

CleanShot X

An easy way to copy hidden characters that come with computer typefaces. Not sure if this is an app but I didn’t know where else to file it. I use it incredibly often though so it felt important to include.

Copy Paste Character

A personal journaling app I started using right before I moved abroad. Great for the nostalgic types and people who always forget a physical journal or don’t want to carry the extra weight (it me, hi!).

Day One

A team messaging app but honestly way more than that I just don’t even know where to start. Kinda like Slack but more AI and Gen-Z vibe.

Discord

Simplifies your work, with a central place to access and share files. Great way to back up your work online, too. I’ve had my laptop stolen before and the only consolation was that all my files were safe.

Dropbox

Create desktop apps out of websites or web applications. This site looks like it was designed in 1999 but at the time of writing this (2024), it still works.

Fluid

Find and read more books you’ll love, keep track of the books you want to read, and be part of the world’s largest community of book lovers. Despite it being an incredibly janky experience, I love this app.

Goodreads

An AI writing partner that helps you find the words you need⁠—⁠to write that tricky email, to get your point across, to keep your work moving. A bonus is that it works across all the apps and sites you use. No copying, no pasting, no context switching.

Grammerly

Easily record and share AI-powered video messages with your teammates and customers to supercharge productivity. This is so helpful when working on a project asynchronously.

Loom

Kill Google Docs. Fuck Dropbox Paper. Marry Notion. This is the ultimate “everything“ app.

Notion

A light note-taking application with markdown support. I use this every day because of its no-BS design and seamless integration across mobile and desktop.

Simplenote

A team messaging app. My go-to over Discord or Teams.

Slack

All-in-one, easy-to-use online PDF tools. The compress PDF feature is out of this world, often compressing files by 97%.

Smallpdf

A project management app to create lists and collaborate across teams. Great for managing website projects.
